Workshop Topics
Comic Book Art & Design
Dives into the fundamentals of comic book illustration. Students will learn about character creation, panel layout, and the step-by-step process of designing their own comic book pages.

Animation Basics: Bring Your Characters to Life
Students will explore the world of animation, learning how to turn still images into moving characters. Through storyboarding, character design, and frame-by-frame animation, students will create their own animated short.

what it takes to be a world famous puppeteer
This workshop will give students the chance to meet with a famous puppeteer, who has worked on many projects, including Jim Henson of the Muppets fame. See just what it takes to make puppets come to life and the story behind the star.

The History of Comics: From Page to Screen
- Students will take a journey through the evolution of comic books, exploring iconic characters, landmark moments in comic history, and the transition of comics to film and TV.
Character Design: Heroes, Villains, & Beyond
- In this hands-on session, students will learn how to design dynamic characters with unique traits, powers, and backstories. They’ll walk away with their own fully fleshed-out hero or villain.
Exhibit Floor
- Students will have the time to explore vendor stalls and interactive exhibits of science, gaming and much more.
